Watch what you say. This week, the teams of Seacoast, North Coast and Community Christian Church have reminded us of the importance of language. When you are committed to multi-site, not as one strategy among many, but rather a framework for doing church, it is important to be intentional about what you call each campus. Use of references like mother ship or main campus don’t work. Think about it … would you want to be a part of something that, by inference, is second class? What do you call your campuses? What other issues of language are important?
